Business programme

This year, the business programme will be focused on the main tasks and prospects for the market development. What problems the industry has faced in the current year? What steps have been taken and what should be done by business and the state?

The business programme will start on November 23 with the plenary session “Availability of medicines for the national health care system: balance of interests of the participants”. During the discussion, representatives of government agencies, national medical research centers, leading industry associations and pharmaceutical companies will talk about one of the three main directions of the “Pharma-2030” strategy and answer an important question — is it possible in the current economic environment to make decisions in the healthcare system that would satisfy the government, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and patients. Co-organizer — GxP News.

On the same day, a round table “API: to be produced or imported” will take place. The COVID-19 pandemic led to necessity to create a full-fledged production of APIs in Russia, but this task cannot be accomplished without a full-scale government support. Is it easy to restore domestic production of pharmaceutical substances and how long will it take? Is it necessary to restore the system exactly as it was? Will pharmaceutical companies continue to buy raw materials abroad? Together with the experts, we will try to solve the problem. The partner of the round table is Reatorg.

The trend towards environmental and industrial safety is actively supported at the exhibition. At the round table “Changing regulatory rules for pharmaceutical waste” the speakers will try to track changes in regulation for such a wide range of areas as production waste, MSW, waste from manufactured and sold goods, medical and biological waste.

On November 24, the round table “Vaccine production in the context of the SARS-CoV-19 pandemic: challenges, scaling, new solutions” will be held to discuss the impact of the widespread use of bioengineered vaccines against new coronavirus infection on the biopharmaceutical market, as well as reorientation and scaling of production facilities to produce COVID-19 vaccine. The partner of the event is Thermo Fisher Scientific.

The 16th International Specialized Forum “Pharmtechprom” will take place on November 24 and 25. This year, the event, a traditional platform for the presentation of the latest technologies in pharmaceutical production, will include four sessions. Companies like Bioiberica, IMCD, Croda, Hosokawa, Asahi Kasei, DIOSNA, Gerresheimer, Bruker, GEA, Marchesini Group Rus will present their latest developments.
