Pharmtechprom forum: technologies & equipment for pharmaceutical production

The Pharmtechprom forum’s second session on 20 November will be dedicated to technologies and equipment for pharmaceutical production.

The session will be moderated by Natalya Pyatigorskaya, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of Translational Medicine and Biotechnology, Head of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy at the Sechenov Moscow State Medical University, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Professor, and expert at the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The session will see reports presented by F.P.S. Food and Pharma Systems, Robert Bosch, MÜLLER, Sartorius Steadim and Diaem.

F.P.S. Food and Pharma Systems’ Sales Director Stefano Butti’s report will focus on how to choose the right insulators and integrating technological equipment into barrier systems for working with highly active APIs. Practical examples showing the current level and the latest innovations in this area will be given.

What are the current and upcoming trends in filling and processing sterile ampoules and vials? What technical solutions are needed to meet these trends and handle liquid dosage containers in an appropriate and safe way? Find out by hearing from Tobias Götler, Global Product Manager at Liquid Bosch Formulations.

MÜLLER is a leading manufacturer of stainless-steel containers and drums and material handling equipment offering innovative solutions and the highest quality standards. At the Pharmtechprom conference, the company will present their various types of containers for storing and transporting liquids and powders offered by Müller.

Sartorius Stedim, an expert in regenerative medicine, will talk about how to use the ambr®15 and ambr® 250 modular micro bioreactor systems as tools for developing the process of cultivation, optimisation and scaling of human MSCs (mesenchymal stem cells). These solutions allow us to move on to large-scale production of human MSCs for use in cell therapy.

Sergey Irkhin, Senior Specialist at Diaem, will explain how the use of Octet systems, both at the stage of developing producer cells and of bioprocess and quality control of the purified preparation, can significantly speed up the process of determining glycan content both in the culture fluid and in purified preparations, without preliminary purification of the samples.
